Our Team

Dr. Beaudoin was born and raised in western North Dakota.  Graduated from NDSU, and Pacific University College of Optometry, in Oregon.  He has established himself as a specialist in the areas of diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, contact lens evaluation and management, refractive eye surgery consultation and care, and computer vision syndrome.

​He is a participating member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Association. He is a Melvin Jones award recipient from Lions Club International and past president of the Greenville Lions Club. 

Dr. Beaudoin is an avid sports fan, enjoys cheering for the Badgers and Packers. He enjoys fishing and golfing in his spare time and spending time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Zachary Makal, originally from the suburbs of Milwaukee, is excited to be practicing in the Fox Cities. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017, followed by his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2022.

Dr. Makal enjoys seeing patients of all ages. His interests include primary care, specialty contact lenses, dry eye, glaucoma management, pre- and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery care, as well as diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

In his free time, Dr. Makal enjoys spending time with his wife and their pets at home, and welcomed their first child to the family in January of 2025. His hobbies include traveling, going to farmers markets, hiking, kayaking, and attending live music events. He loves working with and meeting new people. He focuses on patient education and strives to not just meet, but exceed the individual needs of his patients.

Dr. Nieland, a native of Menasha, Wisconsin, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Kennesaw State University located in Atlanta, Georgia. He then continued his life’s dream in Portland, Oregon where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University.

During his time at optometry school, Dr. Nieland was exposed to a great variety of patients and ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. In his final year of college, he had the privilege of working with low vision patients at the Washington School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Dr. Nieland also has experience with vision therapy working with patients who have experienced a history of concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

Happy to help patients of all ages, Dr. Nieland plans to use his passion to help educate and manage eye diseases to his fellow natives of the Fox Valley area.

In his spare time, he enjoys all sports, biking, indoor spin classes, and checking off travel destinations on his bucket list with his wife.

Lisa joined our team as Office Manager in 2013. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Stellar Eye Care office, including our accounting department and customer relations.
 

Lisa lives in Oshkosh with her husband, Rich, and is a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren.
